Après 3 carrières professionnelles différentes, Norbert Rosing a fait de la photographie animalière et de nature son métier en 1992.
He started as a businessman, then became a soldier, then a nurse. Becoming a photographer was a profound decision which would influence his whole life. Towards the end of the eighties his focus became: The kingdom of the polar bears This area still plays an important role today. This opened the door for him to the most important magazines and publishing houses worldwide. Over 20 stories were published by the National Geographic Magazine USA and Germany.
But he is as fascinated by the Yellowstone National Park and nature on his doorstep in Germany as he is by the Artic. From all facets of his work books, calendars, DVDs etc. have been and are being published.
The secret of his success is maybe the trained eye and the persistency to stay with one topic and to become part of that. He appeared in several TV talk shows. Norbert Rosing has been giving talks for many years, has received awards from renowned competitions and is a sought after juror. As patron he is playing a major part in the HORIZONTE environmental photo festival in the Baltic sea spa Zingst.
