The East African Wild Life Society (EAWLS) is a membership-based public benefit organization that seeks to enhance the conservation and wise use of the environment and natural resources in the East African region.

During this period EAWLS’s key activities included supporting research, building capacities of individual wildlife conservationists, and supporting ex-situ conservation projects targeting endangered and threatened wildlife species.
